A little bit about Clonakilty Hillwalking Club

Clonakilty Hillwalking Club was set up informally in the late 1990s by a group of friends who loved the freedom of hillwalking. Gradually, the numbers increased and eventually the group became affiliated with Mountaineering Ireland. The club holds its AGM in November and all members, including new members, are welcome to attend. A committee is elected at the AGM to deal with the running of the club. The committee meets twice yearly to arrange a schedule of fortnightly walks. We occasionally run social outings, such as concerts, boat trips, theatre visits and day trips. One of the highlights of our social calendar every year is the coming together of the whole club for our annual Christmas party.
