Clonakilty Hillwalking Club welcomes new members. You can walk with us for free on three walks before joining the club. If you don't have hillwalking experience, we recommend that you start with B-walks. The membership fee is €50 per year. The club is affiliated with Mountaineering Ireland, which means that when you become a member of Clonakilty Hillwalking Club you will have Civil Liability and Limited Personal Accident cover; you also receive a personalised membership card which entitles you to discounts in many outdoor stores and sport shops. In addition, you will receive a copy of Mountaineering Ireland's quarterly magazine, Irish Mountain Log, delivered to your home address. If you belong to another walking club which is also affiliated to Mountaineering Ireland, you can sign up for Associate Membership with Clonakilty Hillwalking Club; this costs just €10.

The Risks...

All members are reminded that hillwalking is an activity with a danger of personal injury or death. You should be aware of, and accept, these risks; you should be responsible for your own actions and involvement in walks. You must make your own personal judgement as to your capability to undertake a walk. All participants must wear suitable hillwalking gear, including hillwalking boots. Trainers/runners, jeans and dogs are not permitted. On all walks, please respect the decisions of the leaders.
